Nutritional Ecology: What can we learn from animals with extreme physiology

Abstract

My field of interest combines natural history, physiology, biochemistry and nutrition of organism. In my talk i'll present some examples from my recent work on how extreme metabolic rates (very high or very low) are related to macronutrient in the diet. I'll give examples from both vertebrates (mammals and birds) and insects.
