Abstract

Nowhere is the native biota faced with changes that are more rapid than in the eastern Mediterranean, where the continual influx of Red Sea species (Lessepsian invasion), warming water temperature and overfishing are transforming fish diversity. However, understanding the direct impact of these stressors has been challenging. In this talk, I will review a number of recent studies that aim to understand the impact of Lessepsian invasives on indigenous fish communities.
